Beijing Capital International Airport Traffic Guide

Beijing Capital International Airport (北京首都国际机场, IATA:PEK, ICAO:ZBAA) is 25 kilometers far away from the city center and has three terminals. The Terminal 1 is dedicated to domestic flights of Hainan Airlines Group (including Hainan Airlines and Daxinhua Airlines, Daxinhua Express, Capital Airlines, Tianjin Airlines); Terminal 2 operates flights for China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Chongqing Airlines, Hainan Airlines (international flights), and SkyTeam and non-federal countries. The Terminal 3 operates flights for China International Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Shandong Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, and Star Alliance, oneworld and non-federal foreign airlines.

As the Capital Airport is far from the city center, taking taxi is usually difficult to bear in the tourist family. If the budget is limited, it is not recommended to take a taxi to and from the Capital Airport. Considering the following types in and out of airport, uniform fares and the charges are reasonable:

1. The Beijing Airport Bus Line is very dense and basically covers the accommodations that Beijing tourists may choose. In short, we recommend to take the airport bus if your destination along the airport bus line. (Ticket Price RMB20-30)

2. The Airport Express, take this express train to Dongzhimen Station. The first and last car departure time from Dongzhimen: 6:00-22:30. The departure time of the airport is: T2: 6:35-23:10, T3: 6:20-22:50. Then, you still need other vehicle to get to destination. Please kindly note it is a bit of trouble to haul luggage through security check. [Ticket Price RMB25, only to the T2 and T3, ending operations around 23:00, only Dongzhimen and Sanyuanqiao station in city center]

Lhasa Gongga Airport Traffic Guide

Lhasa Gongga Airport (拉萨贡嘎机场,IATA: LXA, ICAO: ZULS) is located in Jiazhulin Town, Gongga County, Shannan District, Tibet Autonomous Region. It is located on the south bank of the magnificent Yarlung Zangbo River at an altitude of 3,600 meters. It is one of the highest civil airports in the world. The Gongga Airport covers a relatively small area. There are relatively few flights to and from the country. Unlike many airports in the mainland there are several terminals and exits. There is only one entrance and one exit to the Gongga Airport Terminal, so you can rest assured that you will not lose yourself. As long as you arrive at Lhasa Gongga Airport, you must come out of that only exit.

The staff of Gongga Airport stopped the airport bus about five meters away from the exit of the terminal building. Everyone walked out of the airport terminal building exit, then you can see a small pavilion was set up about 3 meters from the wall on the left hand side, the ticket for the airport shuttle bus was sold here. The fare was RMB30. If you purchased the ticket, you can directly use the ticket to get on the airport shuttle bus. Here, the airport shuttle bus is checked in when you get on the bus. After checking the ticket before the boarding, it will not check the ticket again. The starting point of the Gongga Airport airport shuttle bus is the exit of the Gongga Airport Terminal. The end point is the Civil Aviation Authority at the foot of the east of Potala Palace.

If you take a taxi alone, RMB200 per one-way trip; if you take the taxi with other tourisms together, about RMB50/person.
